I joined the world of scenic art after my completing my MFA at Dundee in 2021. The field of scenography presents exciting opportunities by integrating fine art, hands-on visual making and illusion. The ability to interpret and collaborate with the designers vision is what attracts me the most to this field.
From 2021 to the summer of 2023, I worked at the Pitlochry Festival theatre as a full-time scenic artist. Constantly eager to increase my knowledge base and skill-set, I explored a range of materials and picked up techniques that produced near real effects. The opportunity to work with some of the renowned creative designers from West-End has been invaluable to my growth as a practicing scenic.
Endeavoring to successfully execute the design brief, I am habitually prepared to work under high pressure timelines and troubleshoot any last minute surprises. As dynamic as the world of theatre is, I enjoyed working and assisting both as a member of team and a solo scenic artist.
I hope you will enjoy exploring through my work and if you’d like to know more, please contact me through the contact page. I am happy to share a more in-depth portfolio upon request.
